Jacob the Dog is a supporting character in Edward and Eric, and the pet dog of Andrew Rannells. He is portrayed by Gary Sauls' pet Golden Retriever dog (whose name is Buddy), and is voiced by Edward Felker.
Personality[]
While it is true that a dog is a man's best friend, Jacob is the exact opposite with Andrew. Jacob is a sentient and sarcastic dog who gets fed up with his owner's shenanigans. They share a frenemy relationship with each other, and Jacob will usually go great lengths to ensure karma gets the best of Andrew (although Andrew did manage to beat Jacob in a few instances).

- He and Andrew are the only supporting characters to be live-action characters.
- His favorite song is "Black Dog" by Led Zeppelin.
- He is often considered the "deconstruction" of the common cliche of dog characters in cartoons being dumb.
- As is true with Andrew, Edward for Pres-ed-ent is the only 11-minute episode to feature Jacob.
